Favorite Foto Friday: Celebrating Easter!

El Santuario de Atotonilco outside San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the holiest shrines in Mexico.  It is often referred to as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas for its frescos, gilded altars, sculptures, and murals that cover every visible surface.  Many of the frescoes depict scenes in the life of Christ.  (And there is no prettier shade of blue than the skies of Mexico’s central mountains.)
