The New Year’s Eve ball is sitting atop the 2013 (above).

What a blue city

from the Hudson

on a sunny day!

I can see for miles and miles and miles…

Hint: if you’re visiting NYC, get “express” tickets online for the ESB.  This time it took us less than an hour in and out the door.

Laduree, the best known makers of macarons in the world, opened its first North American shop a couple of years ago on Manhattan’s Upper East Side (864 Madison Avenue, between 72nd and 71st Streets).  No need to fly to Paris to get the real deal anymore!

Andy Warhol’s Soup

on the way to the Cafe

at the MOMA!

Standing in Times Square…

in the flashing lights

reminded of Mexico

Taking a pic

of Pollock

Fresh out of college and furnishing our first apartment in the city in the 70s, we bought fabric printed with Pollock art and stretched it like canvas on wood to hang in our living room.  We thought it was the coolest thing in the world.

Whew…a lot can happen in a weekend in NYC!  The food?  That’s another story.  But it was amazing!
