Signs of Spring

“There are in my landscape/errors of colors and scents/yet always/always I love/what incessantly changes.” ~ Tymoteusz Karpowicz, “Love” (Poland)

I enjoy good changes, that is — especially like the change from winter to spring.  This morning…buds on the maple.

“Hundreds of open flowers/all come from/the one branch.” ~Muso Soseki, “House of Spring”  (Japan)

And soon they will all fall onto the back deck and turn brown and yucky, but they will be replaced by millions of leaves, creating the shady canopy I need for my outdoor office.

I clipped the first daffodils I found blooming in my back yard.  The sage, which stayed very green all winter, is turning purple.

The cherry blossoms can’t be far behind!   What’s budding or blooming in your yard?
