Favorite Foto Friday: BUGS!

I love the colors of this boxelder bug.

The bug is only about 1/2 inch long.  The plant is a wild vine that grows across our holly bushes every summer.  It has zillions of tiny white flowers that are very fragrant and attract all sorts of creepy crawlies, especially bumble bees.  This year I’ve also seen honeybees (a rarity these days) enjoying these little blooms.  The green thing that looks like a hanging gourd is only a couple of inches long and a part — bud, seed (?) — of the vine.

Anything growing wild in your yard?
