Fun Foto Friday: Kite Flying in Puerto Rico

The grounds of El Castillo San Felipe del Morro in Old San Juan are perfect for flying kites year round.  The old fort has a maze of secret tunnels, dungeons, lookouts, ramps, and vaults.  El Morro is part of the US National Park Service and is a World Heritage Site.  It once commanded San Juan Bay with six levels of gun emplacements and walls that tower to 140 feet and are 20 feet thick.  The fort’s first battery was completed in the 1540s.  Today, it’s  a great place to fly kites and enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic from this perch above the sea.
