10 Wacky February Holidays!

Nope. No groundhog here -- just a squirrel on a mission. Photo:DFawcett

Did the groundhog see his shadow at your house today?

Groundhog Day is one of those wacky “holidays” that doesn’t warrant a day off work but is celebrated all the same.   Every month of the year is marked by similar days that never made it on the calender.  If you’re in the celebratory mood or even if you just want a silly diversion to help you get through the rest of the winter — or an excuse to send a friend a card — check out these ten February holidays.

Note:  Tell a Fairy Tale Day is not an excuse to tell a fib.  Remember that all “real” fairy tales begin with “Once Upon a Time” and end with “They lived happily ever after.”  Also, if you’re not happy with today’s groundhog results, there’s always Hoodie-Hoo Day on February 20th when you can take the weather into your own hands!
