Living on Island Time

After a week in the Caribbean, living on island time, it’s hard to get back into the rhythm of everyday life.  Nothing beats getting away from television, internet, and telephones for a few days.

At Pam and Matt’s place in town (At Home in the Tropics B&B Inn) we enjoyed the galley porch, the great views of Charlotte Amalie harbor, and the ripe mangoes for breakfast.

And then we were off on the boat to St. John.  Not much changes in the US Virgin Islands National Park from year to year.  The water, the beaches, the critters, the lush green of the mountains, the red flames of the flamboyant trees…

…then a hop on the boat to East End, St. Thomas for a few days to swim, snorkel, sail, parasail, scuba, shop, eat, and relax!

After a delay in the Atlanta airport because of storms, I’m living again on DC time and wishing, like always, that I was back in the islands!
