I had a great time at the Southern Kentucky Book Fest at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green over the weekend. It was fun signing books and meeting the local students. What a great bunch of kids…well-behaved, curious, and full of questions.
I especially enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces — students, librarians, and WKU professors and staff — I had met on my visit last fall.
It was a busy, busy weekend with more than 100 authors and crowds of book lovers. There were lots of fun activities and opportunities to make new author and illustrator friends — Mark Wayne Adams, Mark Crilley, Cynthea Liu, Anna Myers, Jennifer Trafton, Ty Roth, to name a few — and also see two of my all-time favorite Kentucky authors (Silas House and Bobbie Ann Mason).
What a treat! Thanks to all the wonderful folks in Bowling Green for making everything work perfectly at this special event.
